Brexit is a ruse perpetrated by British legacy wealth. The City of London. The corporate money shufflers. British tax havens. One of the main reasons the British elites want to leave the EU is because of the impending EU anti-tax haven regulations... That's why Brexit was created: by Tory legacy wealth, and their media/propaganda money puppets, who spun a delusional, rosy picture of a strong post-EU Britain that would rival the single market... The people, after years of austerity, were readily duped by the elites. What a farce. Probably nothing the people can do about it, not marching, nothing. Brexit was engineered by the British/banking/Tory elites. They will always rule, by hook or crook, and the poor sods will let them. It's still a Feudalistic system. It has NEVER been a Democracy. Wake Up. It's always been an Oligarchy.

Something that people should need to know before it is too late. Only patriots and dictatorships are without moral values and selfish persons so by this they split nations, sovereignty and prosperity only because they don’t care about their nations rather than to gets what’s they wants (authority). So let’s unify all together for peace, morality and real democracy. We are all one living on one planet. Let’s spread the love among us all together to start a new revolution.

If the country is paralysed by Brexit as this project is takes all of the energy of the legislators, the UK is a total capitalist country where absolutely no new solutions to peoples woes are taken into account: homelessness, in-work poverty, social cohesion, NHS staffing issues etc etc. A Tory wet dream come true.

I wonder that NI and Scotland did not leave the UK until today because now is the best chance to leave the UK or they have to pay the price and which nation will pay this Brexit disaster?

I think that even Queen Elizabeth II doesn´t understand today what is going on at the Prime Minister Theresa May´s Monty Python style surreal political "Flying Circus", full of ridicule clowns, in Westminster, London, though it is Her Majesty´s Government and it should have majority in the increasingly politically chaotic House of Commons. Perhaps she should be like Queen Victoria, who significantly used the UK´s monarch´s still today, at least formally, existing significant power during her long reign? scottw3268 Well he is the most powerful leader than any other opposition as of today. Don’t rely I. Polls as they are highly biased and devised by powerful media propaganda machines. Take my advice on this. Did you hear the news? May is reaching out to JC for help. May exclaims: “Help Jeremy; I need help!” And some added sugar-coating to sound less desperate of course, in her speech today.. hehe. This speaks volumes she is asking Jeremy Corbyn to step in. Despite all the smear campaigns JC is a viable leader in that House. In my opinion it is definitely heading to a General Election. All this talk about May running down the clock is a side-track and she is trying to play all her cards and has now come to her last. If they don’t agree i.e. cross-party then it is loggerheads again. Which then leads to one option left. That is a General Election. This has been a guessing game since May’s significant defeat in the Commons. But I always felt it is a General Election, love it or hate it! This gives Jeremy his time to step in to no.10. Maybe he won’t want to move in to that house who knows lol. But he will become PM which is best future for this crippled and divided country which is being burnt to ruins by the Tories in Office.

My question to both remainers and leavers. How many of you moaning about the parliament and leave EU campaign, to this moment have actually read through May's Deal before forming your opinions on it?  Most are just echoing their opinions based on their prefered side depending on how it was covered on your prefered media outlet, which are biased. People are doing the same mistake as they did two years back i-e believing what's being told on TV and News rather than doing some of your own research. If the EU offers EU passports exactly in accordance with the percentage of remainers votes, then it would be very interesting to see the outcome of passport applications then...

It is sad that we are all falling out because everyone thinks we are leaving the EU because of its people. The truth is we want to leave the EU 'not' our brothers and sisters, it is about governing our country in order to look after the family, we are not leaving our brothers and sisters, we are not leaving the planet, we are leaving the EU as a space and home, not its people.

Hace 3 meses
Mary Mary
Mary Mary

It is a transition we all need, it is about how we want our children to grow up. What is true is that if the UK do not pay into the EU, the EU would not give to the UK, so it is not free as you may or anyone is suggesting. We are in the world, not just the EU. We tend to forget that in the last 40yrs, the UK has given the EU more to share around it is not the EU who gives, gives, gives, and gives. This is a wrong information to think we get free handouts! I would like to think the EU are our brothers and sisters, and we are just leaving home, to grow our own vegetables and grow our children if you like. So it makes me sad to think we are bullying each other for nothing! We are leaving the EU not the bloody planet! We will still be your neighbours for christ sake!

I assume you have read my other messages here by now. As I said, we want to leave the EU, and the problems at home is linked to the EU, and we are not leaving our Brothers and Sisters, we are leaving like you leave home, and the home always influences what we do, we cannot separate the EU from the UK if we are united as one, we will soon be one billion people in the EU, imaging the problems we will have to face when that happens. We want to do it for the long term good, not short term gain. We understand the transitions of our lives, our children and their children will have the opportunity to be trained, be creative, be innovative, and we have that in abundance! So join me in supporting the Brexit vote and embrace change for the better. We will still love our brothers and sisters in the EU, which I have many, and visit them often, and I am happen to queue up as I always do in immigrations at airports, so it will be no different to going to China or Russia or the US. Thanks for responding, you are cool!

The rich got richer, the poor remain poor, the entire system is worrying about bureaucracy rather than learning about the danger of importing systems. There will be a billion people in the EU soon, and no one is thinking about that, they only think about what affects them now. Our kids will be worse off and no one seems to care, so if that is the case then the next generation and their generation will suffer worser fate. We pay into the EU to contribute to the development of the EU instead of watching out for the poverty of the UK, if we do not put our funds into the EU, we will not receive anything from the EU, so it is counter productive in the long run! Here is a chance for you to start again, and we should take that seriously instead of bullying what you do not know. There will be an adjustment period like any country would, but this is working towards a system where our young will be taking care of. We know what Brexit means and that is why we voted for it, it is shallow to think those who voted did not know. How naive can they get? We do not want to leave our sisters and brothers of the EU, we want to leave the system, there is a huge difference! We are not leaving the planet for goodness sake, just the EU!

The one great and good thing that has come from this shower of s--t in the government and the referendum is that we now know who is the enemy of the people, the enemy of Democracy, the enemy of truth and freedom – Remainers. The referendum has revealed millions of essentially horrible people to us. Contemptuous, disdainful, vitriolic, tyrannical, selfish, intolerant, nihilistic, divisive, pessimistic, insulting, supercilious... horrible people. After almost 3 years of the Remainer's horrible behaviour I have lost a big chunk of my faith in humanity. Janice Atkinson summed it up when she attended the Remainers march in London recently – 'Get me out of here'. She was referring to being close to, being in and around the Remainers crowd.

All Jeremy Corbyn has had to do over the past 3 years is keep his head down and watch the Conservatives make a fool of themselves in front of UK voters with their minority in parliament. The next general election, whether it is sooner or later, will result in a Labour government. Labour's promise of a second referendum will soon be useless as the legal date of Britain's exit from the EU will have passed (So will the extended date of 12th of April). They can then blame the Conservatives for Britain's no deal exit from the EU.

Hace 3 meses
BigWilki123321
BigWilki123321

@scottw3268 I think after they've seen what a joke the Conservatives have been they will certainly consider it. The other possibility is that they simply don't vote at all (or vote for UKIP or the Brexit party). In which case it will come down to which political party can galvanize enough voters to vote for them. As I said to the other guy, the reason Corbyn is being ambiguous is because he has to keep different factions in his party happy (just like the Conservatives do). Once we're legally out of the EU he can choose to ignore their wishes in respect of another EU referendum as there is no legal way of enforcing the result, unless we re apply to join, in which case Labour will be annihilated at the ballot box. I think both Labour and the Conservatives are going to be massacred at the next General Election. They have taken the piss and both have treated British voters like fools, and have spat on the democracy principles this country is governed by and has been governed by long before many of the current MPs were even born. All to maintain the privileged financial position Britain being a member of the EU afford them and their friends. Well it doesn't afford the majority of British voters the same financial privilege and they are the ones who decide national policy, such as Britain membership of the EU, not a self entitled minority. British voters are not slaves to the will, wishes or economic well being a minority of people who live here. They (and business) chose to ignore the concerns of British voters before 2016 (and after 2008). Now they are being forced to take note. We tried the easy way, now we will try the hard way.

Hace 2 meses
BigWilki123321

@More tea Vicar? "British people's future", which British people? The future of the minority in the UK who have been doing well since the 2008 financial crisis? Oh well we wouldn't want anything to upset their comfortable lifestyles would we? While others in Britain are forced to use food banks in order to avoid starving to death, are subject to stagnant wages, degraded employment contract conditions, degraded working conditions (I could go on). Corbyn has to keep certain facts in his party happy (many of whom want Britain to remain in the EU as they make money from such an arrangement). Events will be taken out of his hands. Once Britain is legally out, it is legally out. At which point I suspect he will drop his pledge for a second referendum. Politics is always about "political maneuvers", it's called political intelligence. The nation isn't facing any crisis, only the one manufactured by those who stand to lose financially from Britain's exit from the EU and these constitute a minority of the British population. I didn't say that I thought he should be leader, I said I think he will be. I'm intelligent enough to read carefully what others have written.

I've been waiting since 2016 for anyone who voted Leave-and I do mean ANYONE-to give me a tangible benefit to leaving the EU. To explain how we will be improved as a nation. To explain what we will gain. I'm still waiting. The problem is that too many complete morons bought the lies they were sold by Fartrag, Gove, Johnson et al, and are too ashamed to admit it. Did you seriously think they'd pony up 350m quid a week for the NHS? Did you think it'd be better to spend 16bn (and counting) on leaving the EU? I have often asked Leave voters why they voted Leave. Their answers are always along the same lines; immigration, don't like EU laws, and immigration. Except, if you aren't a complete and total imbecile, you'll know that the UK controls its own immigration, not the EU. Look up the Schengen Agreement. And the EU laws (like the ones that have given us clean beaches, and safe working place, and maximum working week hours) that are enacted get enacted because WE help enact them. If we use our veto, they don't become laws. In other words, we get the laws WE help make. Admit it, Leave morons. You're so stupid that you occasionally forget how to use your arms. And you fucked this up spectacularly.

Nowhere in it is there any reference or mention of 2020. It was via the Lisbon Treaty that Article 50 was created, you total cretin. Look it up. Do some research for once. As for no abstentions or vetoes, the words "unanimous" or "unanimity" appear in the Treaties as revised by the Lisbon treaty over 100 times. Vetoes are retained for issues like tax, accession of new Member States, and Treaty amendments, including removal of vetoes. Abstentions still exist: under the foreign policy rules, in general for the European Council and the Council, and as regards possible sanctions for breach of the rule of law, etc. Abstentions and vetoes were notand will not be abolished. As well as the single currency opt out, the UK has opt outs from Schengen and justice and home affairs laws.Look it up. Do some research for once. Tranferring power to the EU has long been a Brexit moron whine, and it's still as much of a lot of crap now as it always was. Primacy of EEC (now EU) law was established in 1960s CJEU case law. The Lisbon treaty says nothing new. Now, would you like me to continue schooling your Brexit moron arse, or would you prefer to go and do some research? You know, the kind of research you should have done before you voted Leave and sold your children's future up the Swanny, you total fucking bell end.

We don't want the EU model in the UK. It is a top-down model with diktats from Brussels. We want to move to localism with goods produced and consumed locally. Power and decisions made locally to improve the lives of people in their regions. The environment will not accept the global model that the world and the EU has constructed. You only need higher level governance to administer interaction between regions and it should be light-touch.

I’m no fan of Theresa May. She’s the kind of inhuman, sociopathic ghoul that was born to lead the Tory party. However, this farcical Brexit catastrofuck is nothing to do with leadership. The way in which we implement Brexit is so divergent and divisive that it doesn’t matter if Jacob Rees Mogg, Jeremy Corbyn, or Jesus Christ himself were to take the reigns. None of them would, or could, come up with something that the warring leave camp could agree on to secure a parliamentary majority to move forward. And the impasse starts afresh. Brexit - The undefined being negotiated by the unprepared in order to get the unspecified for the uninformed. Leavers. You were lied to. On an industrial scale. The unicorns you were promised were never going to arrive. This mess we’re in is what you dismissed as ‘Project Fear’ when the atrocious liars representing the leave campaign were assuring you it would be easy.

Okay, so you vote either Brexit Party or UKIP, and either one does manage to get us out of the EU, what then? That is as far as either of them, and lets face it, the people who vote for them, have thought about. A party that gets in will have to have a manifesto in place to rule the country., and as far as I can see , neither has. So they are no better than the Tories or Labour. I voted to leave the EU, and to me , no deal is better than a bad deal, but............. once we are out of the UE, we still need to get our country back on it;s feet and running again.

Everybody talking about brexit and not why people voted for brexit or how to fix the problems that lead to brexit. The housing crisis which has seen rent and property prices rise by a rediculous amount over the past 40 years pricing working class people out of the property market. Job shortages. 0 hour contracts. Factorys all over the country closed and moved to europe. Companys sold off to foreign investors. Lets just talk about brexit while over the past 2 years these things continue to get worse👍👍👍. The people voted brexit for a reason. Things need to change. If nothing changes i fear the worst for people in the uk. Ive lost faith in our democracy and as a brexit voter i am desperate for change ive worked since i was 16 am now 30 and me owning a house seems impossible as inflation has seen property prices rise by more than i can earn every year.

@darrenwbd01 ... Quite right. UKIP, Brexit, Trump and the voting for "populist" parties in Europe is the kickback to the habitual shafting of the people by governance, financial institutions and corporations for the time period you highlight. Johnathon Pie's video highlights this also (watch?v=-IL2XwSkFJQ&t=1s ... I can't put the full link or it will be marked as spam and the post will not show. Always happens on BBC YT channels. Paste it in the YT URL after the com/ ) Many remain voters should be grateful for the Brexit vote because it has highlighted your and Pie's sentiments precisely. The entire system is broken for the vast majority of people. I'd argue deliberately so to keep the masses occupied from looking in the right directions. There was a time when one working person on equivalent base (minimum) wage could support a family, rent/buy a house, run a car, holiday once a year etc.. Additional P/T work by the other family adult was optional, icing to the aforementioned basic living. Now through the social engineering most are working to the bone, eyeballed in debt, no house person with the kids and all the time believing this current state of affairs is normal and how modern society should be. Distracted from the list I have given by nonsensical entertainment and gadgets to further stop them looking in the right directions. Modern society has been engineered into this situation imo. Good old, divide and conquer, bread and circus tactics facilitated by those that control all the strings, for example: watch?v=40C8TFyOMhQ

Best thing Theresa May could do is see which way the wind blows with the indicative votes...but she should then ignore that result and refuse to change the law on leaving on 29 March and leave on WTO terms blaming the rebels and Commie Corbyn....she gets to keep her job as Brexiteers will be happy....DUP will be happy....EU can sort out Irelands border problem as it will then be their problem so teaching them a f*****g lesson....Happy Days....We get to keep daylight saving hours and can drive our cars without EU nanny superstate supervision. I can tell you the outcome using simple scientific thought. The idea here is to crush the will of the majority; the reason being they oppose the incoming "ever closer" regime. So the outcome will be a frustration of whatever the majority voted for, in this case Brexit. So the plan is to give as little away, why pretending we have left, there will be a short victory and then a realisation that we're of course in a worse position with the same single market, and ever closer ties to Brussels. This is where remain will fall on their swords, it will he revealed that we only left Europe in name and actually are still a part of the union, only we forfeit our election rights in the European Parliament. Which was the aim by the EU from the start. If Britain was to take part in elections, previous corruption would be exposed due to the way in which the EU operates behind closed doors with no transparency. They would essentially be putting the ombudsman in the presidential suite.

If you think of it ,when Edward Heath led us into the EEC which became the EU, did we have any say ? no we didn't . and going decimal with the money was the biggest heist ever. Our money has never been the same, and everything is just haywire. money has no value any more ,it doesn't go anywhere. not when the traders and shopkeepers didn't convert it as they should. Prices rose. Literally from the day before. A cup of tea was 4d in old currency and 12d to a shilling, the next day, the same cup of tea was 4 new pence, but this time there is only 5 new pence to a shilling. Its not hard to work out how money gradually became worthless. and we are charged exorbitant prices. Electricity has gone up, everything has.Where does it end? Rents have increased a hundredfold. People are strugglng to make ends meet. Food banks, people sleeping in the street, the glut in begging, (some find it lucrative) and a very money oriented society. It had to start somewhere. I can remember you omly started hearing the word "inflation" after this and "we must cut back" in the mid-latter part of the 70's. then under Maggie it got worse. It never seems to get any better.

Voting may not make a difference, but having your vote counted does (look what UKIP essentially forced). The only thing i would never advise is to not vote. Voter apathy is what enables this political "sh*t show". As to who to vote for, well yes. That is a question indeed. I certainly feel the tipping point is being breached too, enough people now just have to be brave enough to not choose the blue, red (or yellow) and go green, independent, purple or spoil. I don't know how old you are, but one of the most disappointing moments in my lifetime was when people chose to not vote for the AV system. It wasn't the proportional representation people wanted but if the AV had been voted for, then the message would have been that change is possible and OK. A first step if you like to a better PR system. Because AV lost, we end up stuck with this FPTP nonsense that rarely sees real change. The polarising is imo socially engineered by the powers that be (re: that digital grooming video). The best we can do is highlight the manufactured nature of the polarising as much as possible, allow people to realise they have been "groomed" and coax more people past that tipping point.

Hace 3 meses
Death Guard Dave Googley
Death Guard Dave Googley

You might be right but I have a feeling that enough people feel disenfranchised, patronised and marginalised now it’s past the tipping point. I now find myself (and several friends) who are all well educated, seriously considering who to vote for and wondering if voting actually makes much difference when it really counts. If your vote doesn’t count then that only leaves more active forms of protest, up to and including violence. Scary times ahead I suspect. The polarising influence of the media and t’internet doesn’t help either.
