Throughout this year, celebrations have been taking place across the country to mark 70 years of the NHS.
In Newcastle the focus was on the contribution that black, Asian and minority ethnic people have made to health and social care.
The event, which was run by the Royal College of Nursing, saw doctors, nurses and social care workers come together to share their experiences of working in the healthcare system over the last seven decades.
