US Open Tennis Championships
Daniil Medvedev and Rafael Nadal face off in the final of the US Open 2019.
Despite knowing the outcome, that 5th set was excruciating to watch! An insane level of tennis from both players, but the King prevailed.
I was so annoyed with the fans in this match ,Rafa would've won it in straight sets ,but the fans ,kept cheering Medvedev's name the whole stadium, they wanted to see more match ,he got energized and started playing out of his mind, but when the match got closer they started cheering Nadal's name, I was so relieved when Rafa won his #19 😇
This damn game went wrong in miles away unexpectedly .. when i m out of my prediction .. who be winner in begining ...
Or we call it, Medal. D u have other options?
Close matches, if both stays healthy, we all watch a series quality tennis called Named.
I don't even have to say it for Nadal, but watching Medvedev play is an absolute joy.
Every tournament in tennis should learn from this. THIS is how you make highlights.
Only problem is there are far more Medvedev points than Nadal points. The first set in these highlights consist of 90% Medvedev-won points over 10% Nadal-won points, for example. That is inexcusable.
Is Nadal the only player who can beat Medvedev now ? He does a better job than most putting Medvedev under pressure with serve and volley, and stretching him across the back end of the court.
It took Djokovic 5 years to figure out Nadal (2006-10 he couldn't beat Nadal very much at all). It took Federer until 2017 to figure out Nadal on hard courts (and I still believe at the 2017 and 2019 USO tournaments Nadal would have beaten Roger in 3 or 4 sets, so looking back at 2017 when Federer defeated Nadal on hard courts it sounds more like a one-year type of deal for Federer rather than anything permanent going forward). That's the thing about playing Rafa. It took Djokovic only until 2015 before he could beat Nadal everywhere outside of clay (and Djokovic was very lucky he didn't run into Nadal from July 2016 to June 2018 on hard or grass, because Rafa would have beaten him numerous times and stopped that non-clay win streak by Novak over Rafa).
POWERFUL AND ATTRACTIVE GAME....... BOTH PARTICIPANT/PLAYERS IS STAMINA FULL, PRACTICE FULL, TECHNICAL FULL, ENERGY FULL, STRONG FULL ,AND POWERFUL..... IN THIS SITUATION , WINER IS WONDERFUL........
nadal wins this game for one things expense
44:11 A creative & gutsy drop shot by Rafa at this point is brilliant. Watching this battle live is nerve wrecking than this highlight. Phew! Rafa won. This is the turning point for Daniil. He has gone on so strong and won the Shanghai Masters convincingly.
Skinny ass daniil looks like he dont have enough stamina for tennis.
Those saying medvedev is pusher like djokovic see this 4:30
I feel Medvedeev will be the first from the new generation to win a GS. Very soon, it's on the corner.
I didnt realize i was watching 45 minutes highlights til the end of the clip..
I love watching Nadal play
25.25 has taken a huge toll on his body and would prove to be so for the remainder of the year 2019 might even effect his ATP tour finals preparations. A no.1 ranking would be an icing on his wedding cake though but the point at 25.25 where he netted an easy overhead to his standards will have a huge mental and physical effect on him.
@DS I hope he is and want him to overtake Federer in 2020 and move out of the reach of Djokovic
No, Nadal is fine. 😊☺
just found out that consistency machine(this summer) medvedev is charged over night and doesnt sleep
40:54 I felt that one 44:12 To successfully play a shot like that at such an intense and high pressure moment is unbelievable
I keep watching it again and again and everyone it feels interesting.
One hell of a match. Just awesome,,,,,,,,,
Nadal had to play his best, Medvedev nearly won!
😳 OMG.... so many good points and such a dramatic twist and retwist. One month later and I’m still crying with joy from watching this... Medvedev was so close to winning this EPIC of a match but Rafa just willed himself to the victory. VAMOS!!!!! 💪🇪🇸🐂😬🏆!!!!!🎉🎊🎈🥂🍾
Nadal was really running out of energy those last few games. But he managed to pull it off... congrats to him.
Honestly he looked gassed in the 4th and the beginning of the 5th. I thought Medvedev was gonna win
What a catch by the ballboy at 6:50. Not easy to catch a Rafael Nadal overhead smash.
Hamza Abbas Zaidi if you think that’s a hard ball to catch then you’re uncoordinated as fuck hahaha
@Fez your mother wouldn't be that hard to catch
@Fez No u
Hamza Abbas Zaidi lol that wouldn’t be hard to catch at all
26:29 best forehand by Medvedev!
Daniil , If you play with Nadal my advice to you is to hang the cross inside your ass, It will help you open your legs even more 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Rafa is increable
Congrats Rafa you are the man
Pewdiepie really out here 😤
Never i believe med .. lost this match so easy that way ! .. he was too neglect from begin and let it go to bad end ..but absolute the fact he wont make this happen again ( from this experiment he pay too dear price ) .!?
The person who put up this highlights reel must be a butthurt Federer fan. 90% of the first set highlights are points that Medvedev won. Overall there are more Medvedev points than Nadal points. PATHETIC!!! Give us the full match so we can watch the wonderful fifth set at 0-1 when Nadal survives break points and then when Nadal breaks Medvedev at 2-2 40-0!!!!
7:5, 6:3 and 3:2 with a break, who could imagine the following?
@ss555 555 glad, rafa did not choke in both o/
Same thing with Nadal leading Federer 6-4, 6-4, 3-3, 0-40 on Federer's serve at the 2008 Wimbledon final. Who could have imagined it go the way it did?
Majority of the so called good or great players fail to go deep in clay major title roland garros, leave aside winning , and this guy has literally owned that place , winning a whooping 12 slams on the toughest and physically taxing surface .. not only that he managed to eclipse djokovic in us open over all slam title .. taking all this into consideration I pick rafa as the true goat ..
@FR Greatest achievement in sports, arguably. That is fucking insane. Remember that is 12-0 with not a single five-setter in the final!!!
@FR no he is greatest even otherwise .. federer and djokovic collectively has only 2 rgs, fucking lol .
He objectively is the greatest, based on objective performances. 12 titles @ Roland Garros is the greatest achievement in tennis history.
Hope Wimbledon learned how to produce a highlight video. Thanks US Open.
a match for the ages
Nadal's 4hand just defines science sometimes...
Moronic man sport, no thanks Google
@Julie Dovey Aww...the sad beta cuck who is a sad excuse of a human being (Julie Dovey) gives the saddest comeback ever. If you hate it so much why did you comment on it? You love jacking off to Djokovic and Federer gay fantasies.
@ss555 555 go wave your micropenis elsewhere
Moronic comment and sad excuse of a human being (Julie Dovey)...no thanks, God.
specially in the fifth set medvedev showed that he is still young has to play more grand slam matches to gain experience
nadal was lucky to win medvedev was playing his maiden grand slam final very very lucky.
He was 'lucky' versus Frauderer too in the 2008 Wimbledon final right? 2-0 sets and 3-3 0-40 triple break point on Potato Nose's serve and he couldn't break him. That was 'luck' too, right? Or because it is Potato Nose it is called by Fedtards "the greatest almost comeback/greatest match of all time"?
So exciting match... Both players are awesome.
I can´t stop watching the two guys rooting for Nadal in the upper right corner. VAMOS!
How medvedev managed to win two back to back sets after losing first 2 sets in finals..Incredible And How Nadal managed to win the 5th set after losing 3rd and 4th set.. Incredible match. Nadal doesn't win matches he wins wars
Nadal had the same problem in the Wimbledon F in 2008 vs Federer. 2-0 sets ahead and at 3-3 in the third set it was 0-40 on Federer's serve. Nadal just had to win one of those break points and he would have likely won the match in straight sets. The rest is history what happened when that Wimbledon final turned into an epic like the 2019 USO F.
The most electrifying player of all time.
Still cannot come out of that tension
thank you, US OPEN, for making from this match extended highlights video. this match is one of a classic finals and deserved this.
I'm surprised they didn't decide to squeeze a few of Serena Williams highlights in.
Never liked Nadal.... I mean, I recognise his great sportive abilities but I’m not fond of his personality when playing. Djokovic can be funny but Nadal always seems emotionless. He looks like a machine which always hits the ball in the same way, harder and harder again. Actually, he makes me think to these machines which sends, endlessly, the balls at the same rhythm for practicing. It’s boring. Very efficient but boring. Compare to him, Lendl looked like a funny guy...
So you like it when Djokovic breaks his racquets and then screams to Serb/Croat/Balkan fans in the audience "I'm going to fuck your mother/sister?" (in Serb-Croatian language) because he can't calmly ignore fans when they tell him during the match that he played like crap in that match?
Tennis Rules concerning the fact that he’s the exact opposite of Nadal, I’m, at least, totally agree with you...
Alexander at least, Jimmy Connors showed and gave emotions for the audience
tristan Subasic djokovic loves to also yell at the fans if they don’t support him and of course smash his racket. In my opinion he is a very non- genuine person who craves to be loved by the fans. So in this aspect he definitely is opposite from Nadal.
Tennis Rules opposite to Djokovic, how many times have you seen Nadal making fun with the audience or the ball boys/girls or mimic other players for entertaining people ? So I confirm... this is my description of Nadal, not Djokovic
Medvedev is the best player of the young generation. Why? He's the mentally toughest. He's the only young gun who could go down two sets to nothing and still believe that he had a shot to win the match.
25:20 had Rafa won that point, the match would've been in straight sets and 2 hrs shorter
@ss555 555 I guess it's true, but the victory would not have been that much more memorable for tennis fans all over the world.
If Nadal had won any of those triple break points in the 2008 Wimbledon F when he was up 2-0 sets, 3-3, 0-40 (on Federer's serve) that match would've been over in straight sets and 3 hours shorter.
Nadal is now the goat
5+ hard court grand slams and 5+ clay court grand slams is an incredible accomplishment. For some reason people always masturbate to the players who have won 5+ grass and 5+ hard slams yet they are quiet about Nadal being the only man in history to win 5+ clay and 5+ hard slams.
I swear the playback speed is increased in these highlights
It's just different cameras. All broadcasting companies use different cameras. ESPN has their own cameras. Eurosport also. Amazon in the UK has their own cameras. This broadcast is from the Spectrum (formerly Time Warner) online broadcast where Spectrum customers could watch USO matches for free on the USO website if they are Spectrum customers. That's why you hear the Australian commentator and not John McEnroe and Chris Fowler.
