Reeves joins Cork and Leo to show a few titles from Google Stadia's launch lineup, all streaming over Wifi to a 2018 Macbook Pro. Read Reeves' Stadia review here: www.gameinformer.com/review/2019/11/18/google-stadia-reviewed-against-the-stream
The thing is, if you asked someone to play games on Stadia without them knowing it was Stadia, but instead thinking it was some console, they probably wouldn't be noticing any latency/fps issues at all.. By knowing it's Stadia you're trying out you're consciously looking to see lag..
Can we honestly take what you guys say seriously about the review on this? A lot of streamers are going to hate this platform because the years of physical games they bought are going to be worthless, and they're going to have to re-buy all their shit. Not only that but any Joe Blow with a shity lab top can now stream on YouTube and compete with you guys who bought thousands of dollars of equipment and graphic cards in order to make yourself look good. I read Reddit reviews that were raving but everything I see on YouTube is blah blah blah. So are you guys being honest with yourselves and honest with us or do you have some preconceived notions and biases about this? I need to know because this is important when you're trying to see if you're going to swap over to a completely new platform.
stadia 10€ month 120€ year and 840€ in 7 years playstation3 2006 and playstation4 2013 = 400€ in 7 years whatt shell i do??? 400€ for my playstation or 840€ for google monster computer ? :-D
Amazing! Google stadia is just so perfect. I like playing on my TV and switch on my Chromebook. GOOD JOB Google.
Stadia =bad image quality bad freamrate
STOP supporting software as a SERVICE!!! Paying month fees, annual fees, go f????? you
During the black Friday weekend , The Mighty Box will be 30 percent off and include games like Destiny 3 and Heads Up 3, the infinitive edition
First off what kind of router are you using are you running on a 5ghz or 2ghz and what is your internet speed because it makes a difference when playing online games and have you tried playing stadia through Ethernet cable?.
No thanks lol get 30 or 40 ppl in a raid or PVP and man the lagg would be horrible
But, no downloading....so yeah
Even if they use an exclusive game that runs on their super computers, the controller input delay lags are still deal breaker.
i'd love to give this a shot at my work where I have 1Gbps internet
I see that some times is lagging. And finally you will be tired of this after some hours.Even with so low customers at the begining and is lagging. And you have 50 mbps line.So you think this thing will still work after 3 months when customers will be much more ? I prefer to give 130 + 10/month to buy PS5 or Xbox so i am sure i play at 60 fps and with no lag (plus offline gaming).
they should be ashamed
So, is the extra life stream from earlier in the month just not being uploaded? Seems a shame for those who couldn't watch it live.
You will be ashamed of your words and deeds! Sorry for the delay, it's been a technical nightmare but it's coming this week. - Leo
Funny how stadia already failed performance wise. Well done google.
God bless Jeff Cork
The weird thing is, you all USA and Europe people buy games and console for a fair price, -which I could say, cheap- and Stadia and others like it, aiming your regions. But other regions like mine selling games too expensive like you couldn't buy a few games in a year because that would be too much money. Thats why Stadia (game streaming) and also "game pass"es (subscription services) looking good and at our perspective. For a little price, we can access / play a a lot of games which is impossible to buy and own every month.
oh, I confused subscription and streaming. you two are right. thank you for this. still think subs. services are good though.
Like shtik said, you got everything wrong lmao, you still will have to pay for the game, so none of what u said is happening, maybe in a distant future they could do that kind of thing, and still most people don't have that kind of internet to run the game decently, so it'll take some good time to have a chance of working
But Stadia is selling rights to stream a game like Shadow of the tomb raider for $60. You can get it on other platforms for $20. You don't actually get games with Stadia, you have to pay for each game.
Gonna share this on my Google+!
People complaining about physical discs makes me think of old people buying cassettes or even CDs. Honestly most people have them digitally and dont think about twice.
Is there anyway I can ‘try’ this Google?! Or I have no choice but to shell out $130 to be able to try your service?
Danny Lewis well, that’s WEIRD!
Stadia doesn't officially release until next year, the $130 is only for people who want to preorder early along with getting Destiny 2: complete edition
Man, that's super stuttery. Not good.
There’s no way I’m gonna pay monthly for a “console” service and pay for games. At least not right now. They should had made it so that when you buy a game, the only initial cost for service was the controller/ hardware and you should only have to pay for mobile streaming/ playing. That’s where it’s unique and the only thing I’d be willing to pay for.
Stadia today is just for founders. Founders get a Chromecast ultra, controller, and three months of stadia pro ( which gives you a new game every month and up to 4 k gaming ). Stadia base is launching in February next year. It's free. You can access it with you ps4/ Xbox controller on you laptop or PC. You guys a game and that's it. You don't have to pay a monthly fee. You don't have to pay to play online like on consoles either.
its not gonna be monthly wants it fully comes out. You will just buy the game I think.
I see stutterings
Will be unplayable in Australia right off the bat our Internet still sucks balls here. No matter tho i will just stick to my PS4.
This is the future. Not the present unfortunately due to a lack of features and games. But give it a few years. This isn't aimed towards the maybe 3 million hardcore gamers that care about things like exclusives etc. This is aimed towards the people playing games on their phones. If you wanna be a piece of shit and hate for the sake of hate by all means do so. But it didn't kill angry birds, candy crush or Fortnite, and it won't kill this either. Seems like X Cloud will be a better option for "Gamers", but for everyone else this is going to take off in a year or two.
The features like state share are available on the platform itself at launch. They are features that have to be implemented in the games. Not something arbitrarily available across all games on the platform. This was made pretty clear during their talk on implementation during a GDC talk last on the same day as the initial announcement.
Many of the promised features aren't available at launch. The games available are very limited. No offline play and much of the experience will be very laggy. Throw in the fact that today there has been speculation that Stadia might not launch at all and it is all shaping up to be pretty bad. The infrastructure isn't there yet for the vast majority of people. Even if this thing does release it will die.
Why do some many people think that Google joining the race will automatically kill Sony Microsoft and Nintendo. The extreme hate towards it is a bit idiotic
Buying a decent system to play games isn't too expensive when you have the money to pay fro great internet for Stadia to begin with. How could a simple service of playing game through streaming be a console or pc killer when it can't even play as well, unless gamers a complete idiot to buy this trash of an insult to gaming.
No one thinks it's going to kill anything.
No one thinks it will kill anything No one thinks it's worth a damn, that's the thing.
It won't and it won't kill PC either. It will likely die due to poor internet infrastructure.
Its like playing a video that you can control
No shit Sherlock!
@laos85 yeah Future . It can be laggy now but think FUTURE
And laggy input with laggy gameplay. Aaaah the FUTURE!!!!!
Like some sort of game.... in video
Wow so I can pay $60 bucks for games that don't function without internet so my single player experiences can now lag like my multiplayer experiences at peak hours? *wOw YoU'vE sOLd mE, gOoGlE!*
@Lucas Medeiros Google, who cancels every other project just like Stadia, is selling you games at $60 dollars. Games you can't download to anything and exist only as long as Google keeps Stadia alive. What do you think happens to the games you buy after Stadia goes belly up? *THATS WHY I'M OFFENDED* That's in addition to people like you who label it "no big deal" as you throw money at future vaporware built by people who do not understand the modern global internet infrastructure.
@Lucas Medeiros If the servers go down, you can't play the game. You need good internet to play with less latency. To get more features, you need to pay a subscription on top of paying 60 dollars for games you can only play online and don't own.
Why are you so offended with google stadia? I think its pretty cool. If someone doesn't want to buy expensive computers or consoles to play games they can only buy the game and be happy. If your internet doesn't work very well don't buy it
@Sownheard First, the fuck is Destiny Squared? Second, Stadia requires you to be online even to play single player, offline games.
destiny² is free a always on line game with save share If you don't have internet don't buy something that requires it Duhhh
Big corporations use a shared network. It is going to be laggy. Our home internet is better than what they use because you are on a private network.
Destiny is even 1080p with the subscription that's supposed to give you 4k. Some other games are also either not 4k or not 60fps, or even neither. Their pitch made it sound as if everything was going to be 4k/60fps, which isn't the case. This overall doesn't even match the current consoles , let alone PCs or the upcoming consoles.
@Lassi Kinnunen Yeah, it's not the case. Reading the service description, it actually says "up to 4k".
With the sub yeah everything should be 4k. Thats the reason to sub anyways? That was the main sales pitch that you wouldnt need your own superduper 4k rig?
Haha I'm being throttled right now and my YouTube video turned into a pixelated mess. I thought it was Stadia at first but then y'all didn't react. Just hitting the soft cap on my unlimited data plan.
Anthony And The Machine Nice, and did you complain to your wireless carrier or ISP? No?
Red Dead redemption 2 isn't recent? Really?
@Randy Pyles uh.... yes?
@Sownheard On Stadia? Not at all.
@Randy Pyles I'd say yes, but I guess we'll find out.
Max settings 😎
A product which only can work in the USA because there, they love to buy crap and platforms without exclusives. Will flop so hard in Europe and Asia, and as long a platform can seduce Japan, it will not get great games from there and the platform is soulless. No thanks. I’m not a man who wants to be easy cash for Mr. „Singleplayer Games are Dead“. He ruined the Xbox one launch, the Ps3 launch, I don’t like Phil Harrison.
Stop talking about it, idiots. It’s crap!
