Why do mainstream media so fixate on the sensational bad news, even when they are actually less relevant than the good that is going on? Why expose such a wonderful person on the things they would find uncomfortable for the rest of the time they provided for you? I do feel that Sir Tim Berners-Lee deserve so much more positive comfortable and profitable publication session with you. This interview came across as disrespectful and ungrateful. If you've invited him like 100 times over, then maybe once you could do an interview like this and I would feel ok about it, but in such a rare opportunity and this is what you came up with... You've lost touch with the reality BBC, in terms of sustainable utility.

Knowing humanity ) a cross the board. AMD the different mindsets and the spectrum of the good and bad in people. do you think this could have been a opening pandora box . With the WWW?

How are the questions so badly formulated? Wasn't there some sort of BBC team meeting prior to the interview?

He reminds me of the man that invented the AK47 . He did so to save lives because other guns were prone to jamming. He doesn't seem to realize that he is responsible for the third world war.

He knows where his money comes from: pornography Sin starts with a thought Thought becomes intent Intent become analysis Analysis become self convincing (lie or truth) Convinced you find Co conspirators Then a plan develops Action is implemented Success or failure is achieved Then the decision to continue to sin comes into play Or No let's think for you sin become chemically addicted and keep on making me money; He continues because he wants more money, power, prestige puts the blame on you (he is a faithful satanist) "I think therfore, I am" therfore; I will think for you and you will be no longer - Google +++ Say no to human slavery of the mind

I found that interviewer not very pleasant. Him blaming Sir Tim Berners-Lee for the "bad stuff" found on the web I didn't find really fair. Because of that I'm not "liking" this video. I didn't give it a thumbs down an unlike, because it would have looked like I didn't like BBC Newsnight, and I love it !!

This man released the web with good intentions why is this interviewer talking down to him as if he is the one responsible for other peoples actions on the web years later? would the inventor of the wheel/engine be interviewed like this if they were alive today because moving vehicles are killing people? the world was a dull place before the web that i can confirm god bless this man and others like him.

What a ridiculous questions. Before the internet there were books with the same content, good and bad. Nobody blamed the inventor of book printing for this.

Facts in the media have been selective since day 1. The fear envoked by uninhibited truth being published on the www is clear. Of course one needs to be logically selective as to the truth among the garbage however this is where intellect becomes paramount. This interviewer really did show just how shallow and illogical main stream media can be, to put the weight of individual human action and choice on this great man is nothing but grotesque and I'll informed, a mandate we have come to expect of modern journalism.

The problem does not lie in the web and this man's genius. The problem lies in humanity itself and the disgusting perverse ways "we" use this powerful tool (with so much potential for good). Basically this man created humanity's collective conscious.

Wait. What's wrong with pornography? Obviously some porn is disturbing, but isn't it kind of prudish to suggest all pornography is?

Knowing nothing about him at all, I'm in awe of this man. This one guy bought about an entire new medium over which to communicate. One guy completely changed the world, its way of looking at things, it's globalisation, it helped crime become easier to commit and yet harder to get away with, owing to the ease of tracking most of the criminals. It's changed the childhoods of innumerable children, created games cherished by millions, helped us organise ourselves and make the world a better place. There may be another medium out there that we don't currently even know exists. Just think about that.
